Intro, or What is this place?
Hi, I'm Kyle Bradshaw. As I write this at the tail end of 2023, I'm currently a "freelance" journalist for 9to5Google. I'm also currently working through a bachelor's degree online with the intent of attending law school. While working for 9to5Google affords opportunities to write about a variety of tangentially Google-related subjects, there are also numerous topics that I don't get much of a chance to share my thoughts on. Additionally, when writing for an outlet like that, I find that I self-impose a higher standard of quality than I probably need to. As one might guess from the "Off Topic" name, this blog is meant to house my personal musings on (usually) non-Google subjects. More importantly, it will do so in a way that's more stable, permanent, and searchable than a service like Twitter could ever hope to be.
